CITES CoP19 left hope that the world can come together to protect wildlife

During the Nineteenth Conference of the Parties (CoP19) of the Convention on International
Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES), very important measures were
achieved, such as: guaranteeing that international trade in all requiem sharks and dozens of
species of freshwater turtles such as the matamata of South America, the alligator turtle of the
United States, the common snapping turtle and more than 160 species of glass frogs are
covered by the Convention.
